Port Geographe Residence

Timber framed with colorbond walls, double brick and colorbond roof.
Completed 2006

The combination of rendered brickwork and timber framed walls, clad using colorbond sheeting create this exciting skillion roofed canalside home. Separated roof forms help to create different livings zones and external areas. An internal courtyard has been created to form a private entertaining and pool area away from the busy canal traffic. The use of lightweight construction for the bright living zones of the house is offset by the use of the more solid brickwork construction embracing the quieter bedroom zones. The colour palette lets the architecture take on different moods in each season, from bright and fresh in summer to stormy during the winter months.
