The owners loved the 45 degree roof pitch and wanted exciting spaces within the house accentuated by large amounts of glass facing north.

The two storey entry has a bridge at the rear of the void which links the upper floor living to the upper floor main bedroom area. The ground floor section of the entry focuses on an external western courtyard and water feature. When you enter the upper floor living area the 45 degree ceiling raked in two directions creates an extensive volume highlighted by a diamond shaped window on the eastern side of the living and full height glazing to the north in the dining area. Both dining and living areas open onto the outdoor living with timber decking and a dressed western red cedar panelled ceiling. This provides the house with a great richness of colour contrasting the lightness of the walls.
